Heaven's Gates Animal Ministries Printable Biblical Refrences

Below are many scriptures showing that animals have eternal life.  Below these are historical scriptures from the Old Testament Prophets and various Priests, Ministers and Philosophers.  Please read all of these as they follow a theme.

I feel that it is a tragedy that Secular Groups are today leading the way in Animal Rights, when in the past, it had been the Christians.  If you have really been converted then how can you not reach out to the very creatures that God made?  Christian Animal Rights Effort, C.A.R.E., Rev. M.W. Shaw

Revelations 16:3

And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man:  and every living soul that died in the sea came up.  The Hebrew Text says that this means the soul of the creatures living in the sea.  It also says that these souls do not simply cease to exist based on the fact that they are animals.  Souls do not cease to exist unless God wills them to, and God says that He created everything to live forever.  That includes the spirits which are angels, man, animals, demons.  Hebrew Text

There are famous religious leaders such as Pope John Paul II, Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Wesley and George MacDonald who have commentaries about animals and eternal life.

St. Augustine , Thomas Aquinas and Aristotle thought there were superior and inferior beings.  Superior beings were men.  Inferior beings were animals, women and slaves.  Because of their belief system, the church adopted this idea toward animals and only recently with Pope John Paul II did animals gain ground in their status and ranking.  Humane Religion (all-creatures.org/hr)

Several hundred years after prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Amos, Habakkuk, and Hosea had denounced the sacrificial slaughter of animals, Jesus carried out what is euphemistically called the Cleansing of the Temple .  Because Christian scholars and religious leaders continue to ignore biblical denunciations of that bloody worship, they also try to obscure the reason for Christ’s assault on the temple system which was against animal sacrifice.  It was not about the money, it was about animal sacrifices.  Humane Religion (all-creatures.org/hr)

Moses in accordance with God’s plan, allowed animal sacrifice and meat eating.  Moses knew that the people were bent on eating meat.  As a compromise, however, and to help guide mankind back to a life of compassion, God had Moses institute a very strict set of rules for the killing of and sacrificing of animals.   Then God says, “I came to destroy the sacrifices and if you cease not from sacrificing, the wrath of God will not cease from you.”  Christian Animal Rights Effort, C.A.R.E., Rev. M.W. Shaw

I write down countless teachings for the people but they reject them as strange and foreign.  They offer sacrifices to Me and eat the meat of the sacrifices.  But I the Lord am not please with them and I will remember their sin.  Hosea 8:12,13

“Woe to those who stretch themselves upon their couches and eat lambs from their flocks and calves from the midst of their stall.  They shall be the first to be exiled.”  Amos 6:4-7  (Part of the reason the people were exiled was because of animal sacrifices and their refusal to stop them.)

For the violence done to Lebanon is going to overwhelm you, so will the slaughter of its terrified beasts.  Habakkuk 2:17.

The man who most clearly spoke about the abuse of animals entrusted to human care in the Bible was Zechariah.  “The Lord my God said to me, “Act the part of the shepherd of a flock of sheep that are going to be butchered.  Their owners kill them and go unpunished.   They sell the meat and say “Praise the Lord we are rich.”  Their own shepherds have no pity on the sheep that they sheperd .”  Zech 11:4, 5

We need to understand that if we are eating meat, we are paying people to be cruel to animals.  People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA.org)

But now ask the beasts to teach you, and the birds of the air to tell you; or the reptiles on the earth to instruct you, and the fish of the sea to inform you.  Which of all these creatures does not know that the hand of God has done this.  In His hand is the soul of every living thing, and the life breath of all.  Job 12:7-10

The predatory practice of flesh-eating is alien, and is only endemic to the state of the fallen man living in the bondage of corruption.  If man seeks by the grace of God, to climb up from this pit and shakes off his degrading need to hunt and shoot and kill, and learns instead to love, then truly he is a new creature; the old things are passed away.  But the tendency of the modern world is to treat creatures as things having no intelligent goals of their own, but subject only to the aimless thrust of the evolutionary process.  Their inward and secret lives are ignored.  The Fellowship of Life, Christian based vegetarian group founded in 1973 by Rev. Canon Arthur Fielder.
